Privacy policy

Who we are

iboga.africa is operated by Owlkashi LLC. We're an independent referral, preparation and integration service. We don't administer medicine, we don't diagnose anyone, and we don't operate a treatment facility. Treatment is delivered by independent providers who are separate businesses from us.

This policy covers what happens to your information when you use this site or message us on any channel.

What we collect

We collect what you give us directly. That's usually some of the following.

• Your name and contact details, meaning phone number and email address
• Your country or timezone, so we can work out who can actually help you
• Anything else you choose to tell us over SMS, WhatsApp, email or a call
• Basic technical data your browser sends, such as pages viewed and rough region

You may end up telling us about your health. You don't have to, and you shouldn't send us medical records unless we've asked you for them and explained why.

How we use it

• To send you the message you asked for
• To answer your questions and work out whether a referral makes sense
• To arrange preparation and integration support around a referral
• To meet our legal obligations

We don't use your information to advertise to you, and we don't build profiles for anyone else's advertising.

SMS and messaging

When you give us your phone number through this site, you're consenting to receive a one-time welcome SMS from iboga.africa. We don't send marketing SMS and we don't send recurring SMS. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe at any time, or HELP for help.

We don't share your phone number, or the fact that you opted in, with third parties for their own marketing purposes. Mobile opt-in data stays with us and with the messaging provider that delivers the message on our behalf.

WhatsApp

If you message us on WhatsApp, that conversation runs through WhatsApp's own infrastructure and is subject to their terms as well as this policy. We use WhatsApp because a lot of people outside the US already have it, not because it's more private. If you'd rather not use it, email works and so does SMS.

What we share, and what we don't

We never sell, rent or trade your personal information. We take no commission from any provider we refer to, so we have nothing to gain from passing your details around.

If you decide to go ahead with a referral, we'll share your screening file with the provider you've chosen, and only after you've approved that release in writing. You can decline, and you can withdraw the approval before the file moves.

How we store it

Your information is held using standard commercial services with encryption in transit and at rest. We keep it only as long as we need it to do the work you asked for, or as long as the law requires. We don't store payment card details on our servers.

Third-party services

We use these providers to run the site and reach you.

• Vercel, for hosting and site infrastructure
• Twilio, for SMS and WhatsApp message delivery

Each has its own privacy policy and is contractually obliged to protect your data. If we add a provider that touches your personal information, we'll update this list.

Cookies

We use the minimum needed to make the site work and to understand which pages people read. We don't run advertising trackers and we don't sell audience data.

Your rights

You can ask us to do any of the following, and we'll do it.

• Tell you what we hold about you
• Correct anything that's wrong
• Delete what we hold, unless we're legally required to keep it
• Stop messaging you, on any channel, at any time

Children

This site isn't intended for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top. Material changes to how we handle messaging or sharing get flagged on the site rather than made quietly.
